　　American psychologist John Holden arrives in London to participate in a symposium aiming to expose witchcraft and devil-worship as a fraud, with attention centered on a cult run by a Julian Karswell. Debarking his plane, Holden learns that the symposium leader, Henry Harrington, has suddenly died and he is now in charge. What only the audience knows is that Harrington was clearly killed by a demon, apparently summoned by Karswell to avenge his persecution. Despite both threatening and cajoling behavior by Karswell, Holden determines to proceed, though the only cult member willing to talk about his experiences is in a prison psychiatric ward, catatonic after allegedly killing yet another cult member. However, Harrington's niece, Joanna, believes, based on her uncle's notes, that Karswell may indeed have some satanic powers derived from an ancient tome in an obscure language which he has been able to translate, and attempts to warn the skeptic Holden. Karswell's mother also attempts to warn Holden off. However, the thing which begins to most get to Holden are the occasional, but mounting, sensory and mental disturbances he begins experiencing after an encounter with Karswell, and the discovery that, during this encounter, Karswell secretly slipped a slip of parchment with a curse in runic symbols on it into Holden's belongings, a parchment identical to one Harrington recorded having had passed to him in a similar manner shortly before his death... 　　Rakka was born with the ability to communicate with the spirits of the dead. This ability tortures him, as they often appear to help settle their grudges or solve their problems. Rakka often helps police uncover murder suspects and where victims are buried. Rakka's ability makes him ostracized at school. Rakka decides to move to Bogor to live with his uncle, Ajat, who also has the same ability. Rakka meets a beautiful ghost who can't remember her name. Rakka begins to bond with this ghost named Dini because she is the only person who can understand Rakka. Dini forgets her past and has no purpose. Feeling pity for this situation, Rakka intends to help Dini remember her past. Meanwhile, at his new school, terror appears from a mysterious ghost figure who is seen wearing a bloody mask. Some of Rakka's friends disappeared. Rakka uses her abilities to find out the reason behind this ghost terror.

该电影以民国民俗悬疑为题材，讲述了一个二十年前的悲剧，以及二十年后的探秘之旅。在二十年前，龙二奎（由刘交心扮演）在赶山途中救助山中麻风病院，但一次误用山中药材却引发了一场悲剧。二十年后，龙二奎携带徒弟林耀山（由张倬闻扮演）等人再次踏上赶山之路，寻找未知的秘密。

　　Another brilliant giallo thriller from director Francesco Barilli, whose THE PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK was one of the genre's most haunting and original films. This Italian-Spanish follow-up is a bit muddled, but no less engrossing.
　　Set in a family hotel in Northern Italy in 1945, the film concerns Rosa (Leonora Fani), who helps her mother run the hotel while awaiting her soldier father's return from the front. In a Barilli film, nothing is as it seems, and before long Mom (who is sleeping with a traitor she's hidden in the attic) is murdered. Then poor Rosa is raped by two of the guests, who also are murdered, and while she's hiding the bodies she is forced into an orgy by all of the other guests. But before the guests get to far a mysterious man enters all shots the guests. Who is this mysterious man and what are his intentions for Rosa?
　　Like all the best gialli, Pensione Paura completely dispenses with logic early on, elevating weirdness to nearly operatic levels while absorbing the viewer in a thick and spellbinding atmosphere of mounting dread. Francisco Rabal co-stars with Luc Merenda, Lidia Biondi, and Jose Maria Prada.
